This post is completely dedicated to the mom in my life.
What makes a Mom a Mom? Well, as our pastor said in church today-- Not every mother is a Mom and not every Mom is a mother. It's true.
So what makes my Mom a Mom besides the fact that she gave birth to me?
Well, let's start out by saying that she is the best Mom. Ever. I wouldn't trade her for the finest things, all the money in the world, or even all of the owl collectables possible.
What makes her a Mom is the fact that she loves me, no matter what. That no matter how many times I take advantage of her, or annoy her, she sticks by me. She supports me. She thinks I'm beautiful. When I'm sick, she takes care of me. When I'm scared, she comforts me. Sure, she gets mad at me every once and a while. Then what happens? She goes right on back to loving me.
She lets me make mistakes, she lets me regret them, yet she helps me through them. She puts up with my attitude, and she hasn't gone [completely] insane yet.
And she is raising me up in the Lord with the help of my Dad.
THAT is what makes my Mom a Mom. She's not a mother. Anybody can be a mother of something, but not everybody can be a MOM.
I love you, Mom. Even though I will continue to annoy you, make you angry, and make dumb choices, you will continue to love me and I will continue to love you.
P.S. You are beautiful, too. :)
